It seems that when 1st line in the logfile is corrupt, analog 
bombs out with "Can't autodetect format of logfile, ignoring it".
Corrupt lines in my case are long strings of binary junk: stack-smashing
attempts.

I'm wondering if having a regexp check, e.g. "[[:cntrl:]]+" as the very first 
processing step and simply ignoring lines that match would be a good idea.
