Well, frankly memory is pretty cheap these days.

More seriously, what is a "good" amount of memory for analog? I do have a machine at "only" 80 MB (paltry nowadays) but that is pretty much the maximum for that machine. I do remember reading some hints for coping with low memory, but nothing as far as baseline or recommended system requirements.
