I just put together this sample log file (based on a smaple someone else
posted recently), and munged it to reflect your description.

198.166.58.237 - - [11/nov/2004:13:32:15 -0700] "get
http://server1/images/tile_bkgrnd.gif http/1.1" 200 27
198.166.58.237 - - [11/nov/2004:13:32:15 -0700] "get
http://server1/images/alison.jpg http/1.1" 200 27

http://server1/images/banner.jpg http/1.1" 200 27
205.206.60.39 - - [11/nov/2004:13:32:34 -0700] "get
http://server2/generateditems/csscriptlib.js http/1.1" 200 27

Note that I made the Status code 200 - youdon't say what your status
code is.

When I run Analog with
refsite on
refsitefloor 0r

I get:

Listing referring sites, sorted by the number of requests.
reqs: site
----: ----
   3: http://server1/
   1: http://server2/

>From your description, that sounds like what you want. If that's all you
want, then you can turn off all other reports, and you should be able to
run your whole report in minutes (200MB a day isn't going to stretch
Analog under normal circumstances - your long run times are probably due
to memory problems when Analog was trying to remember each unique
"request").
