Hello Android developers,

Im little confused about what 'android' is. I made a look on some
docs, examples, screencats, etc.. but I don't undersant how an android
application works in a handset. Does developer applications runs like
any other handset java application? does the user handset must have
installed a compatible 'android' interpreter or operating system?

In fact, Im not sure about the necessary soft/hard handset
requirements. Im assuming that 'android' is like a nokia Symbian OS or
simply an interpreter that works on Java ME. Im right?

thank you in advance!
