zsusanner: Based on what bsnelson wrote, I checked my setup.
I am using Linux (Ubuntu) with Eclipse v 3.4. My Android SDK is 1.0. I'm also using the Eclipse plugin 0.8 I was having the same probs as bsnelson but I had another version of eclipse set up and running so I uninstalled that and it worked. I think it was complaining about some particular ports being open and conflicting (being a noob I didn't make a note). HTH.
