Someone recently posted an HTTP connection example which used:

import org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpClient;
import org.apache.commons.httpclient.methods.PostMethod;

However my Android SDK (installed under Eclipse) does not have these
packages;  instead it has org.apache.http.*

What is the difference? Why are two, apparently similar APIs for REST
calls?

Thanks,
Joe
