In fact, it looks something even more weird...
I'll try to recap, maybe it will be os some help to the guys who wrote
the emulator

So, basically the emulator was not working in my pc (windows xp sp3,
just re-formated), but it did worked on a virtual machine (windows xp
sp3 too)

That made me think it should have to do with some drivers (graphic
card, sound card...), so I started uninstalling some of them and see
what differences would it make

Finally, I found the solution:
After uninstalling the driver for my sound card (sound blaster x-fi
xtreme audio) the emulator DID worked, and DID NOT if I install the
driver and the emulator later on

I mean, everything is ok if I install (copy) the emulator.exe the
first thing, and then I install all the drivers that my pc need, but
if I do it the other way around (first the drivers, and later on the
emulator), the emulator crashes...
