I think he wants to display a sort of small bubble thing above the marker, not a large dialog with it's own activity. Google maps does this.. you search for Starbucks, it shows 10 red dots, you click on one and it pops up a little bubble over the dot you clicked show minimal info. If you click that it takes you to another view/activity with more details.
