Hoo boy! It's been much better the last week or two, but there were days only two months ago where I was hitting the "Report This Thread As Spam" button 10 to 20 times a day. And seeing the same screen names over, and over, and over... And with the automatic translation, there's no reason to let the Arabic, Chinese, or other language spams get by - the translations aren't perfect, but even the hackneyed "Engrish" output is perfectly fine for deducing the subject matter. > >> This group is moderated for first-time posters. Can't prove it by me - either they aren't being held for moderation, or the spammers are getting smart enough to figure out an on-topic first post, or the Moderators aren't culturally enlightened enough to spot a somewhat disguised spam post. > >> Spammers can circumvent this, of course, but it has cut the noise down > >> quite a bit. Might want to tell the Code Warriors at Google Groups about the circumventions, so they can patch the leaks in the dike. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Beginners" group.
