java's original intention was to be cross-platform....... and it manages well at the apple/pc/linux basis of dekstop/laptop pcs......
i mean..... the point of java WAS and HAS ALWAYS BEEN..... write once.... run anywhere.... be backward compatible until 1996... (see http://blogs.sun.com/dador/entry/duke_is_still_doing_the) but how well does it manage on mobile devices? is there any possibility to build a java programm that will run on android and PC alike? let's focus on pc <-> android: i see 2 possible solutions: o provide an easy to install emulator for pc (like the one that comes with android sdk for eclipse) o cross compiling! (HELP! http://xmlvm.org/) let's focus on iphone <-> pc o http://xmlvm.org/iphone/ let's focus on iphone <-> android o http://xmlvm.org/iphone/ Go Arno Puder! (Developer) Go Sascha Haeberling ! (Developer) Go Wolfgang Korn (Developer)! Go you freakish german crew and free the i-world from idiotic limitations by apple. (thanks a lot steve) maybe we should join forces...... -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Beginners" group. NEW!
