come on. please don't just guess.

please list whatever you think promising and brief how.

it can be very appreciated even by android developers who otherwise might
never know WHY they developed the apps ^_^

The web ad model might not work as is on a mobile. But as Alex rightly
pointed out, strategic location based services might bring in a lot of
money.

imo, your observation is partially true, not to mention that you will have a
much smaller screen and most of the free services you might imply on web are
not profitable in many years analytically.

The point is if the free service is compelling and users like it, then
monetizing will not be an issue. We see a lot of examples on the web, don't
we?

i hope what you said about "pay anything" is not to pay the regular monthly
fee for basic phone and internet service ^_^

Agree.

If the users want your free service, they'll pay anything to get them :-)

Free services really aren't free. Sure the application is free but you need
to updgrade to a higher data plan, buy a high-end device, pay for MMS or SMS
messages that the application sends. Using the free service also exposes the
user to various paid services, which they may opt in for.

i thought of the list after just learning a $100m fund has been set up for
developing iphone apps.

for sure the fund is looking for mobile apps that can make money instead of
providing free services.
