I agree with you. First, we have 1738 already written applications
that did not win. Many of us in that group may think their application
still has potential or is a good idea if it could be polished up and
released now. That leaves us with really a few possilbe options if we
don't want to wait around for Android hardware to materialize.

- Port to Windows Mobile - Solid development platform (Visual Studio),
largest installed userbase.
- Port to iPhone - SDK is out, phone is very popular and great UI,
increasing market share.
- Port to J2ME - Easy port since also Java but features may be hard to
map 1:1 with Android.
- Other - Not ruling out any other options like Brew, etc. but these
are more phone specific "closed" systems.

Since many people seem dissapointed about Google's lack of feedback or
plan for the "loosers" these are very viable options for getting your
application to see the light of day. No $25k at the end of the
rainbow, potentially alot more if it's a commercial success, but at
least your prototype version 1 is already done.

Anyone thinking of going down any of these paths?
