Serge,

That is not a quote I found somewhere. Those are my own words to
describe how my understanding of the goals of Android and the O.H.A..
This is the whole point of the Alliance, as I see it, thus the word
"Open" in the name. I don't know which hubs will emerge, but they will
emerge, and there are a couple starting up now (unfortunately I can't
pull them up in my brain's hard drive right now, but they have been
active on the boards, so look around). But why not set up your own
distribution hub (commerce site with paypal) for your app and then
promote it? Why can't you sell it (or provide it for free if you
choose) from your website? This has occurred to me. I haven't heard
anyone say this is possible, but I don't see why it wouldn't be. There
will certainly be some concern regarding viruses, etc. with software,
but maybe there will emerge some sort of free or low-cost
certification (maybe Google will do this? Google, are you
listening? ;-) you get if your app has been tested and is known not to
be buggy or cause any issues. The distribution channels have yet to
fully emerge since the OS itself is under development and the OHA is a
relatively new endeavor, but if I had to predict, I would say many
channels of distribution will emerge, so build that app, network with
the community, stay up to date on the OHA, and be ready. :-)

Cheers,
Mary Ann
