Not a lot of money but an opportunity to prove the worth of your
"losing ideas" (you cannot accept that you lost to a weather-
forecasting app and a cooking app right?)

"Another target is Google's high-profile Android Developer Challenge,
a contest that solicits ideas from developers with the prospect of
cash prizes. (See: "Top 50 Androids") LiMo will soon launch its own
contest, targeting open-source developers who are interested in mobile
applications. Instead of a $10 million prize, Gillis says LiMo will
give winners "special access and support." Winners will be announced
in mid-September at the Open Source in Mobile (OSiM) conference in
Berlin. "It won't be quite as glitzy [as Google], but will be in tune
with what interests open-source communities," he adds."
