Competition Focus This is your opportunity to help build the future on Moblin. You are invited to create localized applications for entertainment, information, and communications segment that push the envelope of creativity for open source development on Moblin core, Linux stack for MID devices. A sample list of what types of applications are available and needed can be found here. Entrants must create an easily visualized description of their concept, by explaining the look and feel, why it is cool, and by describing how it will work and showing photos or jpegs representing how it may look, once it's developed. Beginning May 12th, 2008, you will be able to submit your concepts by visiting www.moblin.org. The first round of selection will be conducted by the Moblin community who will pick the Top 10 most appealing applications they would like to see created. Any registered person will be able to vote for their favorite concepts. The top 10 winners will receive USD $1,000.00 equivalent in the local currency and a MID device to build their beta application. The top ten winners, decided by community voting, will have until September 30th, 2008 to build the beta application and submit their applications to the YourMove contest, at which point entries will be judged by local industry and open source leaders, and a grand prize winner will be chosen by October 20th, 2008. YourMove Contest applications must run on a MID device and must be developed using the Moblin SDK. PS: I am not official person to contact for more details .
