I encountered a similar error when trying to decode a buffered input
stream from a web server using BitmapFactory. We identified this as a
bug that will be fixed in the next version. Here is a workaround you
can use:
Bitmap bitmap = null;
InputStream in = null;
OutputStream out = null;
try {
in = new BufferedInputStream(new
URL("http://blah.com/foo/bar.jpg";).openStream(),
IO_BUFFER_SIZE);
final ByteArrayOutputStream dataStream = new
ByteArrayOutputStream();
out = new BufferedOutputStream(dataStream, 4 * 1024);
copy(in, out);
out.flush();
final byte[] data = dataStream.toByteArray();
bitmap = BitmapFactory.decodeByteArray(data, 0, data.length);
} catch (IOException e) {
android.util.Log.e("IO", "Could not load buddy icon: "
+ this, e);
} finally {
closeStream(in);
closeStream(out);
}
And to make it work you will need the following two methods:
