Hi Jaybee, have you solved this problem? I have same problem on my android Hero with android 2.1 and 1.5 and my simple javascript timer.
I did my own android application with webview, which catches all gesture events by GestureDetector.OnGestureListener. After it catches fling, scroll events, my application calls new url javascript:nothing(); This solution helps with simple fling, scroll events but there are some problematic touch gestures where it doesn't help and javascript stops forever.
