I've seen this drop as well. It's been uncharacteristically large from a historical standpoint. One of my apps was approaching 20,000 active installs and suddenly started dropping every day. Now it's below 19,000 and has dropped 5% just in the last two days. My main app has been dropping as well but the active installs are still increasing. It could be people are uninstalling the app. That certainly is a possibility. It just seems strange that all of a sudden so many would choose to do so.
