Step 3 - Curse the people behind the sorry-excuse-for-a-website Developer
Console that do not give you any warning whatsoever that changing a paid app
to free cannot be undone.

Step 4 - Make a tough decision on how to proceed:
a - Leave it be and move on with your life
b - Unpublish the current version and upload a new app with a different
package name, make it paid and never try this "sale" idea ever again,
realizing this means your current users are left with a now-defunct app,
unless you figure out someway to get a hold of them and explain to them how
to migrate to the new version.
