ok i never post but this is interesting. so i have an app that
constantly processes data via remote connection whenever it is open.
this is the nature of the app and i know this. i want to exit the app
when done because i will get a huge bill on my cell plan if i leave it
running all day. most of the time i am using back or home to exit the
app which sounds like it is not exiting the app. does the app need an
exit button within the app instead of this method? Is there no way to
programmically make the home button an exit button for the app?
everyone i know who uses the app or android believes home is an exit
button. yes this is an education issue but intuitively out of the box
that is what it seems like. i would bet this includes tens of
millions of people who are shifting to android as their new device.
it is just natural to attempt to use it as thus since there is no
other clear EXIT button labeled EXIT, etc. on the android device.
