Hi I have a HTC Desire with Android 2.2 firmware on it. I'm developing
an app that needs to use the accelerometer when the phone screen turns
off. I realise that this can't be done in standby as the CPU turns
off, but using a partial wakelock keeps the CPU running.
But as soon as the screen turns off, onSensorChanged stops working. I
have read a large amount of peopl having this problem around the net
and same issue here - http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=3708
but the issue on this page was closed in May 2010. I've seen a few
people saying this issue should have been fixed with the 2.2 update.
Does anyone know is this still being looked into or was there a
definitive announcement saying it will not be and will stay like this?
Thanks
