Actually, I had read that while googleing, but I rejected it as a possible workaround that would circumvent my learning the proper method of going about this. In the meantime, out of frustration, I did puff the project and re-import the source, and it worked fine. I'm still left feeling as though there is a more direct way of doing this, or that Eclipse is strongly lacking in this respect.
