I agree with the other posters. The TimeZone is set by the phone's date & time settings. The user either specifically sets the phone's date, time and timezone or (s)he lets it being set automatically (using network provided values).
If the phone's date & time settings are mis-configured, there is not much you can do besides telling the user to set the date, time and timezone explicitly (instead of using the automatic setting) when he or she sees this problem. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
