Question: In the online version of "Programming Android", the author(s) make the following two comments, back to back (the second is in a shaded box):
------------------- If you elect to be a publisher of paid applications, you will be directed to a page where you can create a "merchant account." This may sound a bit intimidating, but Google has made it easy to get paid. You don't need to form a corporation or get a business bank account. ------------------- Caution You should consult a lawyer about forming a corporate entity for your business and you should segregate your business finances from your personal accounts. ------------------- Link: http://programming-android.labs.oreilly.com/ch04.html#ch04_id221253 Correct me if I'm wrong, but these two statements certainly appear to contradict each other. For ad-supported/donation apps, which should I choose (then again, the fact that I can't afford a lawyer might make it a moot point...but I AM still curious). I am, however, already planning to get a PayPal debit card to link the Google account to, instead of going direct to my bank account. I can even make my PayPal account a business account at no cost, if I want to.
