While there may be some overlap between marketing and development these days, particularly in the handheld markets, you're experiencing a rationality fault if you think someone here is going to be able to answer a question about branding and/or another company's acceptable use policy for it's logo. Contact someone on the marketing team of the company whose logo you're interested in using. They should be able to tell you if you would be sued for the use you have in mind. But even then, you'll need something (like, you know, a release or permission) in writing from someone in their counsels' office to be really sure. And here I was thinking all the complaints about misdirected questions were harsh.
