Furthermore, you have made an implicit assumption: that the user actually pays attention to that Google account. Just because the user has an Android device does not mean that they use Gmail as their primary email address. Good point there. Hadn't thought of that. I suppose another way would be to have an email field in the opt out menu where the user can define a contact email if he wants to opt in.
