If the same application (APK) is working on the emulator and not on the device, then one of the following may be true:
-- the device does not have an INTERNET connection -- the device cannot access Google Maps' servers for some reason -- the device has a pirated copy of the Google Maps application, and so the Google Maps library is malfunctioning You might try downloading some other third-party app that uses Maps onto the device. If it suffers from the same problems, it definitely is a device issue, not an issue with your code.
