I'm not sure, but for calling external URL's we have to us HttpURLConnection<http://developer.android.com/reference/java/net/HttpURLConnection.html> . In other way you can use httppost<http://developer.android.com/reference/org/apache/http/client/methods/HttpPost.html> .
