I think the poster means that sometimes when the application
exits it is still running. The solution is to open the Settings application
and go to Applications -> Manage Applications -> Force Stop. I don't
know of a way an application can request it be completely dropped
from memory when a user closes it, not that I see any reason why
one would want such behavior.
