To elaborate a bit more, I'm actually going to integrate the accelerometer data to get velocity, and possibly integrate that to get position. If I can dictate when the samples are taken, I can keep a consistent time delta between samples. onSensorChanged() is not called at the same time intervals, which adds a bit more complication to the task at hand. If need be I will work on code that would work with onSensorChanged(), but being able to sample the sensor data on demand, rather than have a call back function called, would be preferred.
