Right, but it's been a recent trend on this group to have very very
long convos quoted, this didn't happen in this instance (so I was
incorrect :-), but in any case, I'm guessing the poster just hit a
reply and replied to the most recent message, not following the
logical flow of conversation, hoping the previous mail was somewhere
up in the quoted text..

I should have clarified, I didn't mean the editor physically dumps you
at the end of the email, it dumps you at the end of it logically.  In
general top posting used to be a "really bad thing," but it seems to
have become more acceptable these days, or maybe it's just that people
are becoming a bit less edgy than they were back in the older
newsgroup days..
