During testing of an App for different API's on various emulators I came across an unusual issue. On an HTCLegend emulator, API 7, a particular image would not display, I get no error, simply nothing shown. Works OK on everything else. I had noted that the image, which was a PNG file, was alphabetically the first file in its directory (drawable-mdpi), I added a new dummy image that alphabetically precedes the problem image and the problem has gone away! Clearly a very unsatisfactory solution and I wondered if anyone had any insight into this. The problem and solution is repeatable by the way and also presentst itself on other API 7 emulators.
