There is no correlation between density and version. I have -mdpi,
-hdpi, and -xhdpi ICS devices within 10 feet of me right now.

Buy a tablet (e.g., Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, 250 USD). Or, buy an
unlocked phone and just use it on WiFi.
