Hi all, I am evaluating Android emulators and would like to know if I can run the official emulator (part of Android Studio 2.0) on VMware? I can successfully run several Android emulators on a physical machine simultaneously, and run my automated tests on them. However, I will need more emulators to run in parallel, and also like to leverage the existing company infrastructure that supports virtualization extensively.
I've tried the following configuration, but the emulator failed to launch due to "VCPU shutdown request" error. - VM with HAXM support enabled - Windows Server 2012 OS - Java JDK 8.91 - Android Studio 2.0 - Emulator Nexus 5, API 22, x86-64 bit, 1 GB RAM - HAXM tool installed with sufficient RAM allocated I've read various online posts saying that emulators can't be run on VMs, but I am searching for any update from Google on this topic.
