Hello,

I’m trying to get a hold of someone to fix an ongoing issue where the
Android OS Google Play Service is removing our business application from
our client’s devices.

Attached is an example of what our clients were seeing with our older
version of the application (if I long hold the notification I can see it's
coming from Google Play). B/c our clients workers normally just follow
whatever Android says to do, they select to uninstall the app, which in
turn has the 2nd app (anti-tampering) kick in and lockdown the device.

This has been an ongoing issue with Android even after changing things with
version four, we are now once again getting clients contacting us about
their devices being locked down after they allow the Android OS
notification to uninstall the TriLock app. (As the anti-tampering app locks
it down, which was not removed by Android OS notification from the Google
Play Service.)

We are looking for a way to fix this so going forward we no longer have
issues where the app is being marked as harmful. The app is installed under
‘unknown sources’ through our client’s IT departments (not all installs are
installed with root access, do to devices and/or IT department setups). B/c
of this issue, our site was also flagged as malware (WNC-611500) which we
have fixed by requesting our clients Product-Key (which was there before)
and having the app in a private directory.

What options are there for 3rd party developers that DO NOT use the Google
Play Store (as we are not setup for consumers, only for small businesses),
is there a whitelist program we can apply for, someone that can work with
us on “WHY” the app is getting flagged by Google Play Service, or a
business deployment with a business certificate to sign our Android
applications with? We need a solution that will stop this from continuing
in the future.

Thank you,

Ashton
