The new team is focused on seeing service in new ways, testing concepts, and applying technical expertise to improve member financial experience. The role is part of an agile team where each member proactively contributes skills, ideas, and enthusiasm, and this individual will bring senior expertise in web development, focused in C# and VB.NET interacting with SQL Server in an object oriented software model. *JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Strategy/Development: • Design and evaluate innovation prototypes including windows services, web applications, and data objects based on user stories. • Develop code iteratively including functional and unit testing. • Contribute to innovation ideation and design of experiments, prototypes, and pilots. • Work with team to improve delivery processes and techniques. • Work closely with software and system architects to integrate with the software architecture model for the next generation of VACU applications. Operational: • Be a key team member, building and expanding cross functional skills of yourself and other team members. • Work with a variety of business and IT teams to ensure innovation successes are smoothly transitioned into a full release. • Escalate impediments in a timely manner and work with team and contacts to find solutions. • Monitor applications during pilot stages and provide timely support for the resolution of issues. • Other duties may be required and assigned by the supervisor. • Complete all required BSA and OFAC training. Report all suspicious activity to Security. *JOB QUALIFICATIONS:* *Knowledge: * • Experience with agile, scrum preferred • Knowledge of financial or retail banking products and services a plus. *Top Skills:* • Hands-on working knowledge of the following: o MS SQL Server o C#, VB.NET, ASP, HTML5, WCF, OOP, UML, SOAP, XML, MVC, Web Services o Microsoft IIS o jQuery o Javascript • Strong analytic and problem solving skills • Excellent listening and feedback skills • Experience with testing preferred *Abilities:* • Ability to function as an integral part of a team and display proactive initiative in team commitments. • Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to non-technical resources *Minimum Education and Experience*: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering preferred or appropriate combination of education and significant experience. • Requires demonstrated software development and deployment of enterprise software applications.
