Role : Microsoft Dynamics 365 (AX) Solution Architect Locations : Dallas TX JOB DESCRIPTION: has an immediate need for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Solution Architect to help with implementation/upgrade projects. Our experienced consultants provide expert service throughout the deployment of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (AX). The MS Dynamics Solution Architect will be familiar with using Microsoft’s Sure Step methodology to help clients efficiently through the implementation life cycle, linking specific deliverables to every identified task. This allows our clients to gain an accurate enterprise-wide understanding of the range of business requirements to be met by the final solution. The MS Dynamics Solution Architect will participate in every aspect of the MS Dynamics implementation from architecture reviews to designing the MSDynamics application and infrastructure to meet the project’s needs including pre-installation planning, database setup, installation, data conversion, and post-installation follow-up. Candidates should be familiar with the following modules: Financials, Treasury, Budgeting, Capital Projects, and Flex Property. The successful candidate will need to interact with a number of different business groups including customers, project managers, as well as functional and technical consultants. Location: office in Dallas, TX with up to 25% travel as necessary domestically Role Responsibilities: ▪ The Solution Architect will continually ensure the common thread in the analysis, and will therefore; have the overview of the overall architecture of the solution. In addition, the solution architect will assist the consultants within the individual functional areas. ▪ As a natural part of ensuring a coherent solution, the Solution Architect will participate in selected workshops. ▪ The Solution Architect participates in the preparation of project documents through sparring, review, and quality assurance and can thus ensure that the fundamental decisions and solutions are consistent with the overall objectives and the overall architecture. ▪ The Solution Architect ensures that all sub-projects in the overall project will be coordinated in order to achieve the best and the most cost-effective results and ensure the fulfillment of the overall objectives. ▪ Works closely with the onsite Project Manager on project plans and project meetings to ensure that project timelines are met ▪ Works closely with the client and infrastructure team to provide hardware and infrastructure solution • ▪ Develop data migrations strategies for projects using Microsoft recommended tools and frameworks ▪ Work closely with the client and functional team to create and review requirements documents • ▪ Work closely with functional teams on gap fit documents and help design both functional and technical solutions most optimal to the project • ▪ Monitor the progress of the development and ensure adherence to the technical design ▪ Communicate development guidelines to both internal and external development resources • ▪ Monitor development activities to ensure development guidelines are being followed • ▪ Develop and monitor instance promotion strategies during development and test phases of the project. ▪ Ensure execution of these strategies • ▪ Provide Development guidelines and development environment specifications • Skills and Experience Required: • ▪ 10 years’ of work experience in IT • ▪ 4+ years’ of project experience working with Microsoft Dynamics • ▪ 5 years’ of technical experience with any ERP software. ▪ Hands on Microsoft Dynamics 365 (AX) development experience • ▪ Hands on Microsoft Dynamics installation and configuration experience • ▪ Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics architectural components especially in Framework and Application foundation including layers, models, tiers, and data partitions • ▪ Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics reporting tools including SSRS, SSAS, and Role Centers • ▪ Understanding of Dynamics data structures • ▪ Candidates should be familiar with the following modules: Financials, Treasury, Budgeting, Capital Projects, and Flex Property ▪ Solid understanding of project management concepts and knowledge of Microsoft’s Sure Step methodology and Agile Methodology • ▪ Experience with other integration technologies • ▪ Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics workflows • ▪ Knowledge of associated Microsoft technologies including Microsoft .Net (versions 4.0+), Visual Studio, TFS, SQL Server, SharePoint, and Windows Server • ▪ High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality required ▪ Solid English communication skills both oral and written Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree.
