Job Title: Consultant - Oracle DBA Work Location: Plano, TX, 75024 Preferred Rate: $50/hr Contract duration (in months): 6 JD for L2 Oracle DBA: •Install and configure Oracle Applications R12 on Unix & Linux platforms (Solaris and/or RH) •Upgrade Oracle Applications from 11i to R12 •Performance tuning -- DB (11g) and R12 & 11iApps. •Cloning R12 instances. •Patching Oracle Apps and Database •Extensive working knowledge of AD utilities such as adadmin, adpatch, adctrl, adlicmgr, adrelink and admerge. •Implementing Autoconfig and maintaining Apps with autoconfig. •Using Oracle Applications Manager tool to perform system administrator tasks. •General troubleshooting of Applications R12/11i issues with Forms / Apache / Concurrent Programs and Concurrent Managers. •Handle all Oracle Database/apps related daily maintenance tasks. •Setup and manage rsync based disaster recovery procedures for application servers •Create thorough disaster recovery test plans and execute against them periodically •Other duties may be assigned, as per project needs •Good knowledge in UNIX and shell scripting. •Good knowledge of Oracle development and industry best practices •Experience in handling Large, multi-Terabyte databases is required •Working effectively with business users, Oracle Apps functional and technical teams to resolve issues Years of Exp: 5 – 8 Yrs Top 3 responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute: 1.
