*Location : **The Woodlands, TX * *Need locals to Houston area as there is an in-person interview* Large Oil and Gas company in The Woodlands / Spring, TX is seeking to hire a long-term contractor for a Storage Engineer (Advanced) position. This contract will last 1+ years and could extend to 5 years or more. MUST be flexible to initially travel to Fort Worth (2 - 3 weeks), Monday - Friday for onboarding and training. Hotel will be set up and paid for by employer and other travel expenses will be reimbursed. The Storage Engineer provides a single point of contact to the organization for storage and storage management tools. The Storage Engineer will manage the day-to-day activities involving storage and core components including, but not limited to the following: Designing, developing, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting complex components of the storage infrastructure, assisting IT staff with troubleshooting and planning changes to the environment, capacity planning, future strategic direction and documenting. The Storage Engineer will work under the day to day direction of the Virtualization and Storage Solutions Team Lead. *Responsibilities:* · Working from Linux CLI to deploy and manage Netapp storage. · Performing daily work with NetApp OnTap CLI (7MODE & CDOT), NetApp QoS policies, export policies, SnapMirror, and SnapVault. · Working capacity issues leveraging NetApp OnCommand Suite. · Deploying NFS datastores on VMware using NetApp VSC. · Deployment of LUNS SAN / DAS in a Brocade switch environment controlled by BNA application. · Potential daily duties include but not limited to: · Heavy migration work through SnapMirror or VMware replication. · SAN zoning. · Installation of multi-pathing software. · Monitoring storage performance. · Storage configuration management. · Manage daily work orders and incident tickets via ITSM. · Understanding and maintaining security / controls compliance of storage infrastructure and all related software applications. · Strong documentation skillset for system configuration and standard operating procedures. · After-hours support as needed. *Required Skills:* · B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree / work experience. · 7+ years’ experience in OnTap, NFS, CIFS, FlexClone, NDMP, SnapMirror Experience with NetApp 7-mode and C-Mode. · Demonstrated work experience in all aspects of storage. · Understanding of basic network concepts (LACP, VLAN tagging, routing, QoS). · Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders. · Possesses excellent project management and organizational competencies. · Must have strong customer service mindset. · Proven ability to manage short deadlines, emergency situations and changing priorities. *Preferred Skills:* · Automation skills and scripting (Bash, Perl, PowerShell, JavaScript) preferred. · Familiarity with Hitachi storage and Cumulus Whitebox switches preferred. *Other Requirements:* · Must be local to Houston area. · Must be able to travel and work in Fort Worth for onboarding training. · MUST speak fluent English and have strong analytical and communication skills. *Thanks * *Anudeep | Anblicks | www.anblicks.com <http://www.anblicks.com>* *14651 Dallas Parkway, Suite 816, Dallas, TX-75254* *anudee...@anblicks.com <anudee...@anblicks.com>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
