Rather than put in false information, you can change the contact information for your app, or remove the phone number so that if you only want to provide email support no phone number is displayed.
If you click on your app in the market developer console, and scroll to the bottom there are three textboxes, one for website, phone number, and email address. I believe each app can have different contact information if you have a need for different people or channels to support each.
