*Job Description*
We are looking for a digital signage developer responsible for building
JAVA web applications and REST APIs, including anything from back-end
services to customer facing experiences. Your primary responsibilities will
be to design and develop these applications, and to coordinate with the
rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure.
*Responsibilities*
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable JAVA code
Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of
applications
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new
features.
Work with graphic designers and convert designs to visual elements.
Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
*Skills*
Proficient in JAVA, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
Familiarity with REST API
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
Familiarity with Oracle Database
Experience with popular web application frameworks, such as Hibernate
Knack for writing clean, readable JAVA code
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and
Mercurial}}
Familiarity with continuous integration
Highly experienced with back-end programming languages {{Ex: PHP, Python,
Ruby, Java, .NET, JavaScript etc}}
Proficient experience using {{Ex: advanced JavaScript libraries and
frameworks such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS
etc.}}.
Understanding of server-side languages including {{such as Jade, EJS,
Jinja, etc.}}.
Front-end experience Desired (Ex: HTML and CSS, JQuery, etc.)
Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications.
Knowledge of code versioning tools {{such as Git, Mercurial or SVN}}.

Familiarity with the .NET framework
Skill for writing reusable C# libraries
Knowledge of concurrency patterns in C#
Basic understanding of Common Language Runtime (CLR), its limitations,
weaknesses, and workarounds
