Location: Scottsdale, AZ, United States

Position Summary
As a Portal Engineer you will be primarily responsible for developing, and 
testing for Portal modules to meet customer expectations and specifications 
as discussed and detailed in Epics, Features and Stories (SAFe Agile 
process). You will be working with other Engineers and experts in the 
broader organization. 
The applicant will understand the development life cycle; Agile software 
project management approaches; and requirements, design, and test 
techniques. 
In addition, you should be either experienced or conversant in emerging 
ideas in application development both on the user interface and middle tier 
technologies. While not necessarily deep in all of these technologies, you 
should understand them sufficiently to guide the organization in 
understanding and possibly adopting them if appropriate.

Required Qualifications 
• 5+ years of IT experience in analysis, design, development, 
documentation, implementing and testing of software systems in Java, J2EE 
and Internet technologies.
• Strong Knowledge on Application Development using Software Development 
Life Cycle SDLC using various methodologies like Waterfall, Agile/Scrum.
• 5+ years of experience in various J2EE technologies including Hibernate, 
Struts MVC Framework and Spring Framework such as Spring MVC, IOC, AOP and 
Spring JDBC.
• 5+ years of experience in core Java-Multithreading, collections, Servlets 
and JDBC.
• 5+ years of experience in designing front end interfaces using HTML, JSP, 
CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and Ajax.
• Hands on experience with build and deployment tools including Ant / 
Maven, logging and Debugging using Slf4 and Log4j, unit and integration 
testing using JUnit.
• Experience with SQL queries and using Hibernate framework with Spring ORM.
• Experience with modern software development tools for Continuous 
Integration including Jenkins, Git, Jira, Rally, Nexus, Maven, SonarQube.
 
Preferred Qualifications 
• Experience with various version control tools like GIT & SVN.
• Working experience of CI/CD pipeline integration, GIT & Jenkins
• Experience with Agile and SAFe Agile development practices with project & 
task management tools such as SharePoint, Rally, JIRA & Client ALM etc.
• Excellent communications skills with ability to communicate effectively 
in visual, verbal, and written form to teams, clients and leadership.
• Good understanding of framework code and methods of component architecture
• Familiarity with the whole web stack, including protocols and web server 
optimization techniques
