*Big Data Developer with QA Automation* *Remote* *Long Term* Qualifications: • 7+ years of experience in QA and Automation. • 3+ years of experience with Hadoop Eco System. • Experience working in cloud services on Azure or AWS. • Experience working in Data Management projects. • Experience working in Hive or related tools on Hadoop, executing designing complex hive HQL’s. • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark SQL, Hive/Impala • Experience working with programing language like Java/Scala or python. Python preferred. • Experience working in agile environment. • Experience writing automated tests using testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Junit, and data focused automation technologies • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment. • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiatives. • Ability to apply mastery knowledge in one of the relational data base (DB2, MSSQL, Teradata, Oracle 8i/9i/10g/11i) • Expert ability and hands on experience in SQL is a must. • Experience with Unix/Linux and shell scripting. • Knowledge of HealthCare is a plus. Responsibilities: • Responsible for all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met. • Works with Big Data developers, Architects and Business users to understand the requirements and build automated QA processes for Hadoop/Big Data environment • Experience writing test cases to validate data in spark data frames • Hands-on testing experience in Java/Scala/Python and Big Data technologies required • Develop Spark Jobs, Custom UDF using Spark RDDs, Data frames, and Spark SQL. • Strong analytical SQL experience working with dimensional modeling. • Troubleshoot and develop on Hadoop technologies including HDFS, Hive, NiFi, Hue, Spark, Impala, JUnit, Selenium, AWS/Azure to test/automate quality product. • Identify and investigate issues found during testing and work closely with Big Data developers and business to resolve issues. • Hands-on development or testing experience in Java/Scala/Python and Big Data technologies required. • Work with Scrum team, overseeing testing duties among the team, to assure Quality Assurance processes are being followed. • Able to write Regression test cases for business functionalities, end to end integration test cases, and system test cases. • Works under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment. • Deliver projects on-time and to specification with quality. Minimum Education: • MS/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred and/or equivalent experience.
