Specifically I want to know if one can give me better performance. I want to draw the whole surface myself as I am scrolling a large bitmap.
Basically I am trying to figure out how things like ListView / GridView do smooth scrolling (see thumbnails in picture viewer app) and writing custom views (even using surface views) seem to be flicker a lot.
