Yes, it seems 'styleable' got removed from the SDK and the tutorial(s)
hasn't been updated. There
was a message a couple weeks ago about this and I'm trying to see if I
can figure out what Dianne Hackborn
means by "use <declare-styleable> in your own app". to fix this.
