http://source.android.com/ For example, the alarm clock I'm going to modify will "look exactly the same" as the built-in one, but there'll be a lot more functions. Is it legal to extend the functionality of the Alarm Clock and publish it as paid application? I'm new to the open-souce stuff. I believe it's 99% doable but still want to ask just to make sure.
