Won't be long, though. The Acer A1 (see http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2009/10/14/acer_a1/) has an 800x480 screen, exactly the WVGA size that's giving my app fits in the emulator. And the original thread I linked to was actually more concerned with camera resolution; the Moto DEXT (shipping right now here in the UK) has a 5MP camera, enough to break many camera apps due to heap size. So will the heap limit increase require a new OS version, or can it be done on a device-by-device basis? And is there any way to simulate that?
