The only way I know is to put an observer on the call log: ContentResolver logObs = getContentResolver(); logObs.registerContentObserver (CallLog.Calls.CONTENT_URI, false, new ContentObserver (new Handler()) { public void onChange(boolean selfChange) { super.onChange(selfChange); //query the call log, order descending, and see if first item is a missed call //take care not to count each missed call more than once (could happen) } });
I haven't tested this in 2.0 but hopefully it still works.
