Hey folks, I've noticed some odd behavior when manually
maintaining .m3u playlist files on the Motorola Droid and HTC Hero. I
can successfully create an .m3u file on the device (in the home
directory as well as subdirectories) and the playlist will appear in
the native media app. However, when I manually delete the .m3u file
or rename it, the previous playlist name continues to show up in the
media app (as well as the new one in the case of a rename).
Fortunately, the app correctly shows that the playlist is empty but is
there a way to successfully delete an .m3u file and have it
immediately reflected in the media app? This is not a problem
with .mp3 files, only playlists.

Android appears to maintain a playlist database. Can the database
update be manually triggered?

Thanks!
