Thanks, I had not yet seen the fine print yet reading "Any application that requests the CAMERA permission but does not declare any camera features with the <uses-feature> element will be assumed to use *all* camera features (such as auto-focus). Thus, the application will not be compatible with devices that do not support all features."
So if my app does (sometimes) use autofocus but works OK without autofocus I should use <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.CAMERA" /> <uses-feature android:name="android.hardware.camera" /> to have it visible for HTC Tattoo?
